Some women love taxidermy,
Some women tolerate taxidermy, and then
Some women feel "There is absolutely no way you are hanging that thing up in my house!"
There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these view points; some people just feel differently than others. I can definitely relate to the latter type as that is the stance my wife had when I first started doing taxidermy. Some opinions have been formed because when a person thinks of taxidermy, they immediately picture a 50 year old deer head hanging up in a bar or restaurant - faded, covered in dust and with its facial features being slightly less than anatomically correct to put it nicely. Honestly, there is no way I would even put something like that in my house.
I created and designed this section of my website for many reasons; however, I want to be completely transparent with you in regards to my three main goals for its creation:
1. Not necessarily to change your mindset, but to make you at least re-think your
initial reaction and outlook towards taxidermy.
2. To prove that I am not your normal taxidermist by continuing to set
myself apart from the competition.
3. For you to tell your spouse or significant other,
"If you are going to have that mounted, you are only having Snake Trail Taxidermy do it."
